Our radiology department uses the most technologically advanced tools to assist in diagnosing  your pets medical conditions. The expertise of board certified radiologists is helpful in situations such as surgical cases, trauma cases, brain and spinal cord problems, biopsies, internal medicine, cancer treatment, and much more.

 

Digital Radiography

Indianapolis Veterinary Specialists utilizes digital radiology to help quickly determine a patient's needed treatment options. Digital radiographs are quicker, clearer, and easier to read than film radiographs. They are similar to a digital photo in that the radiologist can manipulate the image in ways that were previously impossible with film radiogrpahs. This technology also allows us to make your pet's radiographs available to your regular veterinarian in a more timely manner via the internet.

Ultrasonography

Our radiology department also utilizes sophisticated ultrasound equipment to aid in diagnosing many soft tissue diseases and problems. Ultrasound is a diagnostic imaging technique that uses sound waves to distinguish differences in soft tissues. This technology is particulary helpful when trying to asses areas of the body such as the heart, kidneys, liver, and bladder.
